In the picturesque village of Chocimów, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship,at the foot of Świętokrzyskie Mountains and surrounded by local hills, forests and gorges is located the wonderful Baba Jagna guest house. It lies 13 km away from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, 18 km from Iłża, 28 km from Bałtów, approx. 50 km from Sandomierz and Kielce and 60 km from Radom.
Baba Jagna has one of a kind, stylish interiors. The hosts offer overnight stays in five comfortable rooms for up to 5 or 7 people. Each of them has its own bathroom, LED TV, a dining table and heated floor. Nearly all rooms have balconies, with a table and two chairs.
The guests at Baba Jagna have a big shared living room at their disposal with a fireplace and a TV set, a dining room, a recreation room, a sauna, a terrace and a fully equipped kitchenette.
The hosts of the bed and breakfast invite to try delicious meals based on the traditional Polish cuisine. They can also prepare special meals at individual request.
The guest house also has a recreation room that includes, among other things, a treadmill, an exercise bike, a ping pong table, darts. The guests have a sauna at their disposal. The peaceful neighborhood on the other hand, abundant in plenty of species of plants and animals, is a great place to mellow out and relax. The facility includes a place for a bonfire and BBQ, a playground and walkways.
Located not far from the facility is an 1800s Ośniałowski manor in Chocimów, initially belonging to the Popiel family, the ruins of an old rolling mill in Nietulisk Duży which have an ancient settlement being constructed there under the "Iron Cradle" project. Located in the nearby Kunów is the St. Władysław’s Church from the first half of the 17th century and in the neighboring Miłkowska Karczma there’s a shrine of St. Catherine from 1430. There’s plenty of interesting places around the beautiful Świętokrzyskie Mountains - both nature-wise and history-wise. Most of all, it’s a good idea to visit the Archaeological Museum the “Krzemionki” Reserve with a neolithic flint mine and the picturesque gorges in the rocks of white sandstone, located in the Kamienna river valley. What gets our guests interested is the "living porcelain museum" in Ćmielów. The mountainous landscape is also numerous hiking and cycling trails, Brody, Wióry, Gutwin and Lubianka bodies of water and ski slopes such as Szwajcaria Bałtowska or “Sabat” in Krajno. Among the most interesting local historical landmarks, on the other hand, are the Holy Cross Monastery, the 11th century monastery in Wąchock, the sanctuary in Kałków, the Historical and Archaeological Museum in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski located in the former Wielopolski palace. While in the neighbourhood of Świętokrzyskie Mountains, it is also a good idea to visit local recreation parks, such as the Dinosaur Park in Bałtów or the greatest Rope Park in Poland “Skarbka”.
