Jakubowo is an agriturismo located in Mragow, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It lies about 40 km away from Gizycko, about 70 km away from Olsztyn and 80 km away from Elk.
The hosts of Jakubowo offer a stay at three connected buildings, which consist of unique rooms for 2 and 3 people with bathrooms and balconies or terraces.
The guests of the agriturismo facility can have light, tasty and nutritious meals at the local dining room. In the morning, breakfasts are served that consist of cottage cheese with chives, parsley and thyme, as well as cheeses, regional cold cuts, eggs straight from a chicken, homemade jams and fresh bread. In the evening, on the other hand, they serve three course hot suppers – the selection of meats includes goat roast with herbs, fishes and wild meat, and the soups served include, among others, a mushroom soup, a docks soup, a cabbage soup made of own sauerkraut, a pumpkin soup and a zucchini soup. On top of that, besides the meals, they also serve a composition of fresh lettuce straight from the garden, and after an evening meal one can have a dessert – a homemade sorbet, fresh cake, yogurt or fruits. Jakubowo also has a vegetarian option – having them in mind, the hosts have prepared such meals as arugula, ocimum and walnut pesto, or spaghetti with nettles, feta cheese and dried tomatoes.
The main attraction of the Jakubowo guest house is a country spa, where one can have a bath based on natural products (whey, oat straw, milk and hay), get a massage, or relax at the sauna with a wood powered furnace. The premises of the agriturismo also make a great place to have yoga or tai chi workshops and outdoor painting classes. The hosts of Jakubowo make sure their guests don’t get bored – they are happy to host bonfires at the natural amphitheater, hiking, bike riding, horse riding, buggy or carriage riding, as well as kayaking. There are also things to do for sport lovers - one can play tennis, pool or table tennis. On top of that, the neighborhood is great for mushroom picking and for watching the abundant flora and fauna.
Mragowo is a perfect place to spend free time. History buffs will certainly love the Museum of Military Equipment, which stores military vehicles, and a branch of the Museum of Warmia and Masuria, which stores souvenirs from the past of the region, county and the town of Mragowo within the scope of archeology, ethnography, numismatics, history, literature and modern and folk art. It is also a good idea to see the The Sculpted Town Of Mragowo art project, as well as Western City Mrongoville – an incredible place where one can feel the Old West vibes. One interesting attraction for families with children is definitely Ekomarina, which contains things like a group of recreational devices for playing with young children.
