Kolorowa Chata is one of a kind ethnic agriturismo located in Hajnówka, Podlaskie Voivodeship, on the western edge of the Białowieża Forest. It is located 30 km from Białowieża, 60 km from Białystok and 120 km from Biała Podlaska.
The guests at Korolowa Chata have the whole house at their disposal, which can accommodate up to 6 people (preferably 4). The interior has a fully equipped kitchen with a ceramic stove, the main room with stylized beds and a set of guides and books on different topics the second room (made with children in mind), as well as a bathroom with a shower. The southern side of the house is adorned with a wooden porch, there’s also an old summer kitchen around with a bread oven, a cooker and a barn as well as classical rural flowerbeds.
The ethnic agriturismo uses third party catering services, therefore the guests here can have late breakfasts and lunch/dinner combos, based on traditional, eastern delicacies.
The guests at Korolowa Chata have a whole fenced backyard at their disposal. From time to time, there are photography workshops hosted here to promote the tourist and cultural values of the region. Over their course, everyone can make a souvenir photo as a nice souvenit of their stay in Podlasie.
The ethnic agriturismo is a place pretty much created for the littlest ones. At the house, they can use ecological wooden toys, whereas outside they have monkey bars, swing sets and a tree house prepared for them.
Podlasie is mostly famous for the Białowieża Forest, which also means the Białowieża National Park, which is a sanctuary for the world’s biggest free roaming European bison population. Among places to visit in Hajnówka, also known as “The Gate to the Białowieża Forest”, are definitely the numerous places of worship, such as the orthodox Holy Trinity Church, The Feast of the Cross Church, the Saints Cyril and Methodius Church and the Our Lady of Fatima Church as well as the orthodox churches: the mid 1800s St. Maccabees Church and the St. Demetrius of Thessaloníki Church.
Among other interesting places are also the Park of Historical Miniatures of Podlasie, The Museum of Blacksmithing and Locksmithing as well as the Water Park (a recreational and sports facility). True sightseeing enthusiasts should definitely check out the “Drzewo i Sacrum” Cultural Trail of Podlasie which goes through the following communes: Bielsk Podlaski, Orla, Dubicze Cerkiewne, Hajnówka, Czyże, Narew and Zabłudów, containing the gems of the wooden architecture of the Białystok region – old wooden huts, historical shrines, orthodox and catholic churches.
