Located near Bieszczady, in a small, charming village of Wola Matiaszowa, in the commune of Solina in Podkarpacie lies the Bjorkowo agriturismo. It is approx. 35 km away from the border with Ukraine, approx. 50 km from the border with Slovakia and 30 km from Sanok and 80 km from Przemyśl.
The hosts at Bjorkowo provide visitors with four log cabins that combine tradition with modernism, which makes them very cozy, each of which can accommodate up to 6 people. All are equipped with a living room with a sofa-bed and a coffee table, a fully equipped kitchenette and a bathroom. The houses differ in terms of sleeping space layouts - two of them have two bedrooms in the attics, each of them with two beds, whereas the remaining houses have one bedroom for three-to-four people. The prices provided apply to renting a house for 6 people. An additional convenience in the Gawra house is a tiny room upstairs with a single bed for a child, whereas the Dziupla house has been adapted for the handicapped.
The guests at Bjorkowo have a living room with TV at their disposal, where everyone can relax and have a good time.
The price of stay at Bjorkowo includes a delicious breakfast, based on local, natural products, such as eggs, milk, rapeseed oil, cold cuts or fruit and vegetable preserves. In addition, during a particularly active season, the price for a house could also cover a lunch/dinner combo.
Located within its premises is the Barn of Creativity, which encourages interacting with art – here one can both listen to music and watch a movie, as well as purchase artworks by associated artists and craftsmen as well as participate in interesting themed workshops (i.e. in crafts and photography). The local garden, on the other hand, is a perfect place to have a picnic, start a bonfire or throw a BBQ.
Bjorkowo is also a kid-friendly place – just for them, the hosts have prepared a playground with a swing, a trampoline and a sandbox, as well as balls and board games.
The hosts at Bjorkowo are willing to provide their guests with advice on the best ways to spend the time while surrounded by the beautiful Bieszczady Mountains. Among other things, they offer yacht cruises, off-road and hiking or cycling around the mountain areas or simply a morning jog. One particular local natural attraction is the Lake Solińskie located among woods, which will mostly keep sailors busy, as well as a natural monument in form of the 20 meter Lesko Stone and the picturesque Bieszczady National Park – the third biggest park in Poland.
Among the most interesting historical landmarks in Solina, on the other hand, are the Museum of the Boykos Culure in Myczków, the 1600s Jewish Cemetery in Lesko, the Kmitów Castle from the 16th century as well as numerous temples, such as St. Stanisław the Bishop’s Church in Cisna, the Synagogue in Leska or the 1829 Greek orthodox church
