Butterfly Factory is two cozy vacation houses located among meadows and forests, in Jonków, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It is located merely 20 km from Olsztyn, 100 km from Elbląg and approx. 130 km from Malbork.
Butterfly Factory offers a stay in a single house that is perfect for families and groups. It consists of four bedrooms for two, a spacious living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, dishwasher, tableware, gas oven), an orangery and two terraces. With a larger number of people, it is possible to stay at the second house.
The guests at Butterfly Factory have an opportunity to savor traditionally made, delicious ecological yellow cheeses, goat milk, cottage cheese and sourdough bread, eggs and many other natural products.
The forests around Butterfly Factory are a paradise for mushroom and blueberry pickers. The local beautiful landscape also encourages to hike and cycle due to the numerous tourist trails.
Above all else, the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship is a land of picturesque lakes. Within 10 km from Butterfly Factory there are such bodies of water as the “Leśne” lake in Pupki, Lake Isąg, Lake Bałąg, Lake Gamerki, Lake Rentyny or Lake Marąg.
Among the most interesting places of worship in Jonków are the St. John the Baptist’s church and the St. Maria Magdalena’s parish church. On top of that, it is also a good idea to visit such places as the “Węgajty” theater with its interesting repertoire and the “Biały Dwór” guest house, which offers horseback riding classes for beginners and for advanced riders, as well as flying a powered hang glider during which you can take pictures or shoot movies.
Another great way to spend the free time creatively is visiting the Jacek Olędzki’s Living Lavender Museum, where one can participate in Rural Alchemy Workshops, which means making own natural creams, scented water and essential oils, as well as at the “Cegielnia Art” ceramic studio and the “Koronczarnia” jewelry studio.
